Behavioral Medicine -Amy Jennings

Behavioral medicine is a field that is able to blend the sometimes opposing sides of traditional medicine with behavioral treatments. This includes biofeedback, hypnosis, and preventative medicine. For example, prescribing a change in behavior as well as recommending some kind of medicine

This scene is from Baby Mama, a bunch of women who take a yoga birthing as a preventative measure. Unlike traditional medicine, they are using a non traditional form of medicine-Yoga, which helps to aid in the birthing process. The combination of this and breathing techniques can aid the medicine used. I personally think that combining behavioral changes with medicine is absolutely important. Medicine only goes so far and then you have to choose to change a behavior. Stress management, especially can help you cope with life.
